Traveling to Atlanta
Atlanta is home to Hartsfield which is the world’s busiest airport and is easily accessible from major cities by direct flight. It is estimated that 80% of the US population is within a 2-hour flight from Atlanta thus making it an easy travel destination.
Getting Around Atlanta
Travel within Atlanta is best accomplished by car or rideshare service. The public transport system known as MARTA is limited but fairly effective for trips from Brookhaven and Buckhead to Midtown Atlanta or the Airport.

I recommend staying in Atlanta for a minimum of 3-days after surgery. Your first follow up is usually within 48-72 hrs following the procedure. This allows sufficient time to identify any post-surgical issues, such as a hematoma, and intervene in a timely manner. Fortunately, this is an uncommon occurrence but it is better to make sure there are no acute issues prior to returning home.
One can expect to resume most Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) the day after the procedure. As such, you will have the opportunity to explore Atlanta.
